March 2002: Special offers for existing Polaroid Palette and ProPalette owners. It is almost as inexpensive today to buy replacement digital film recorders as to invest in a service contract. We recommend buying a backup new film recorder instead of a service contract! Here are the prices...only for existing Polaroid owners. Of course, the new systems come with full one year warranty and toll free technical support, so you'll have two systems instead of just one!!!
A. CI-5000 or HR6000 owners: purchase a new, full one year warranty HR6000 system for $950
B. ProPalette 7000 owners: purchase a new, full one year warranty ProPalette 7035 system for $1400
C. ProPalette 8000 owners: purchase a new, full one year warranty ProPalette 8035 system for $$1600

Systems do get boo-boos, but Polaroid systems are far above-average in their reliability, both during warranty and in later service. Most Polaroid products are sold with a one year parts and labor warranty, three years on projectors. This includes free access to Polaroid's great toll-free technical support department at 1(800) 432-5355. In all cases of equipment failure during warranty, authorization is first obtained from this number and the system is then returned to Polaroid (never a local dealer) for repair at their sophisticated facilities...this is done because of their desire to have all repairs done with factory technicians and test equipment. Polaroid service is very fast and very good, but our experience shows that owners usually will not require any service during their warranty period, due to the superior quality of your Polaroid product. After the warranty period, service is obtained the same way, and such service is excellent, just not inexpensive. (click here for specific prices on color film recorders and plan benefits)

Important: Existing users can accept the service contract, providing your original warranty is still in effect, and the contract is purchased from your selling dealer (CTC Nationwide). Your new advantages include:

1. It extends your warranty by an additional year for less than the cost of a single service or repair, and significantly upgrades the value of the basic warranty itself

2. Existing users can sign on for the extended warranty service, instead of having to select at time of equipment ordering...but its gotta be during the warranty! Because of the services it makes more sense to make the contract investment on day one of your ownership rather than at the end of the warranty period!

3. Clients use an access code to get to the head of the line for toll-free telephone consultation.

4. Contract holders are offered a free loaner system from Polaroid within 48 hours of reporting a malfunction. Polaroid will ship the loaner (and return your repaired system) using the same speed of freight you chose to ship your malfunctioning unit

5. Contract holders receive free software upgrades and free routine preventative maintenance...ideal for projectors which get kicked around a lot while traveling! This service, used even only once, recovers the entire cost of your service contract...and you can utilize it as often as required for any Polaroid system.

6. Unlimited access for two years to Polaroid's toll-free technical support hot line, which switches to a fee basis after the original warranty expires (90 days software, 1 year hardware). This service alone is worth the contract price!

7. Covered systems have a guaranteed turnaround of three days or less...this reduces any down time to the absolute minimum!

The costs of the program are minimal, especially compared to the old, less attractive and far more expensive program they've replaced. We provide them at a worthwhile discount to make your bargain even better: An HR 6000 warranty extension is only $449, the ProPalette 7000 is $677, and the ProPalette 8000 is $1,195. Because of their portability and the hazards of being moved all the time, we most strongly recommend contracts on PolaView projectors. Call us for current prices on any system.

We recommend the contract because it gives so many benefits at less than the cost of a single maintenance incident and because you recover the entire cost of the contract through a single preventative maintenance service, even if you never have a hardware glitch.
