Polaroid Bankruptcy: Most folks have heard about Polaroid's October 11 2001 voluntary filing for bankruptcy protection. Naturally, the question became whether they remain a player in the marketplace and whether prospective customers should be concerned. This was immediately resolved in the most positive manner by the purchase of the company by BankOne Corporation. In retrospect, looking back from November 2003 as their largest dealer, CTC has noted that not a single customer was affected by this situation, that every single warranty was perfectly honored, and that the net result was an even greater benefit for end users through generous price reductions. |
