CTC Technology Vans Updated
with Newest Models: CTC (http://www.ctcsouth.com) has announced that it recently accepted delivery from Fleetwood Industries (http://www.fleetwood.com) in Decatur, Indiana, of an additional technology van to demonstrate and train on Polaroid products. Built on the popular American Eagle luxury motor home design, the Eagle-model 40 foot long technology vans enable CTC to continue showing its systems to trade shows and schools, governments and hospitals throughout the South, West and Northwest. CTC has since 1996 used various smaller converted Fleetwood coaches to bring technology to the user's doorstep, and this new van greatly increases the company's capabilities. The vans will be headquartered in the company's Portland (OR) and Asheville (NC) offices...and all points in between! The newest van features on-board diesel electrical generators, color GPS, solar power, climate control, refreshment station, wireless telecommunications, slide-out rooms, client seating, slide and video projectors, satellite television and projection screens. Altogether, according to CTC officials, every modern presentation graphics technology will be demonstrated wherever the van goes. "We know clients enjoy some hands-on time with these new technologies as they define their needs, and the vans enable us to come to the hospital or government doorstep, invite everyone inside for a cup of coffee, and let the product prove its worth. Our vans are well used, getting over 40,000 miles on them each year, and the reliability on this vehicle has been absolutely superb." While visiting, the van can generate its own electricity and show every Polaroid system as well as the Merlin electronic whiteboard.
CTC reports that it selected the new Fleetwood Eagle because it is the country's most popular high-end coach built on a rugged Spartan chassis with a dependable Cummins electronic diesel engine, with excellent service nationwide. This vehicle has the size necessary to host a group of visitors. CTC management stressed that the Eagle's two slide-out rooms allows client to visit a regular office setting to see Polaroid systems at work, plus the coach improves safety and handicapped access, and provides greater traveling comfort and convenience for CTC employees as well.
